En effet, la pr\u00e9sence de premiers habitants remonte \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque magdal\u00e9nienne (pr\u00e9histoire) et de nombreux outils en silex taill\u00e9 en sont le t\u00e9moignage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_2\">Depuis, du n\u00e9olithique \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque gallo-romaine et du Moyen Age \u00e0 la R\u00e9volution, les \u00e9poques et les peuples se sont succ\u00e9d\u00e9s pour former ce charmant village de campagne.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_3\">Vestige de l\u2019\u00e9poque m\u00e9di\u00e9vale, le bourg de Blanzat poss\u00e9dait encore, en 1686, une enceinte de tours et de murailles. Le quartier du Ch\u00e2teau (Foyer Rural, \u00e9glise, poste, pharmacie) se trouve aujourd\u2019hui encore bien marqu\u00e9 dans la forme de sa voirie.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_3\">L\u2019\u00e9glise St Pardoux a connu plusieurs g\u00e9n\u00e9rations de b\u00e2tisseurs \u00e0 partir de 1763, date de construction de la nef. Le clocher actuel date de 1902.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_style_3\">Au d\u00e9but du si\u00e8cle, lors du d\u00e9nombrement de 1901, il y avait encore 3 boucheries au village pour nourrir une population de 1 000 habitants environ. On trouvait \u00e9galement, pour les commerces de bouche : cinq boulangers, un bouilleur de cru, cinq \u00e9piciers, cinq d\u00e9bitants, une laiti\u00e8re, un liquoriste et un mara\u00eecher. Apr\u00e8s les m\u00e9faits du phylloxera et la guerre de 14-18, la d\u00e9sertification des campagnes commen\u00e7ait tout juste et le nombre d\u2019habitants est descendu \u00e0 946 en 1936. Dans le m\u00eame temps, de nombreux commerces et m\u00e9tiers ont disparu\u2026 A partir des ann\u00e9es soixante, la voiture permet de r\u00e9investir la premi\u00e8re couronne de villages autour de Clermont-Ferrand. Dans le m\u00eame temps, une forte immigration \u00e9trang\u00e8re (\u00e0 80 % portugaise) voit le jour. D\u2019une grande simplicit\u00e9, par sa culture, ses souvenirs intacts elle a fait aimer le village aux blanzatois de souche et \u00e0 ceux qui sont venus y vivre.
